Privacy Policy

Overview
Kitsune (“we”, “our”, or “the Service”) is a personal gallery for saving and tagging YouTube and Vimeo videos. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Kitsune website and the Kitsune Chrome extension.
Information we collect
- Account information. You sign in with Google through our authentication provider (Supabase). We receive identity details needed to create and maintain your account, such as your email address.
- Saved content. When you save a video, we store the video URL, provider (YouTube or Vimeo), provider video ID, title, thumbnail URL, and any tags you add. This content is associated with your account.
- Billing information. If you upgrade to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We store subscription-related fields such as plan, Stripe customer and subscription IDs, subscription status, and current period end. We do not store full payment card numbers on Kitsune servers.
- Session cookies. We use cookies to keep you signed in. These are authentication session cookies managed by Supabase. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Chrome extension
The Kitsune Chrome extension helps you save the YouTube or Vimeo page you are viewing into your Kitsune gallery. To do that, it may:
- Read the URL and title of the active tab on supported YouTube and Vimeo pages
- Access your Kitsune authentication cookies on the Kitsune website so API requests can be made on your behalf
- Send the video URL, title, and tags you choose to the Kitsune servers using your existing session
The extension does not collect your YouTube or Vimeo account credentials, and it does not send YouTube or Vimeo cookies to Kitsune. It only operates for the purpose of saving videos to your gallery and managing tags after save.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate you and keep your session secure
- Store and display your saved videos and tags
- Process subscriptions and manage plan limits
- Respond to support or privacy requests you send us
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
We rely on the following processors to operate Kitsune:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting
- Google — sign-in via OAuth
- Stripe — payment and subscription processing
- Vercel — application hosting
- YouTube / Vimeo — source platforms for saved videos; thumbnail or embed content may be loaded from those providers (or related thumbnail hosts) when you view your gallery
Those services process data under their own privacy policies when you use their platforms.
Data retention
We retain your account data and saved content while your account is active. You can delete individual videos and tags in the app. You can sign out at any time. If you want your account and associated data deleted, contact us using the details below.
Your choices
- Delete saved videos and tags from within Kitsune
- Manage or cancel a Pro subscription through the Stripe customer portal
- Sign out to end your current session
- Uninstall the Chrome extension at any time from Chrome’s extension settings

Security
We use industry-standard practices appropriate for a service of this type, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated API access, and database access controls so users can only access their own data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Kitsune is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
